Preparation
You must fast for 6-8 hours before the procedure. Blood tests may be required beforehand. Inform Dr. Ali Taj about all medications, especially blood thinners.
Duration
The ERCP procedure typically takes 60-90 minutes.
After the Procedure
You will be monitored for 2-4 hours after the procedure. Someone must drive you home. You may experience mild abdominal discomfort or bloating. Contact Dr. Ali Taj immediately if you develop severe pain or fever.
